Eads Hall, built in 1902 and renovated far more recently, has some of the nicest bathrooms on campus. Indeed, the bathrooms on the first and second floor are, due to their considerate facilities and great ambiance, two of the best sets medium-sized bathrooms on campus. The bathroom on the lower level of Eads (near the Arts & Sciences computing center), while still decent, is markedly worse.
The main problem with this bathroom lies not in its facilities, which are identical to those found in other Eads bathrooms, but rather in its ambiance, which is hampered significantly by the lack of a window in the women's room and the presence of a less well-placed one in the men's room. Indeed, the inferior lighting detracts not only from the bathroom's charm, but indeed makes one's bathroom experience significantly worse in a very real way. The bathrooms' appearance are also hurt by the ugly wall that can be found in the handicapped stall of the men's room.
Other than these negatives, however, the bathrooms are generally good, with well-appointed and well-placed fixtures, above-average cleanliness, and good handicapped accessibility. While these bathrooms are certainly acceptable (particularly the men's room), the bathrooms on the other floors of Eads are considerably better.
